Alvéole has an exciting opportunity for a Field Application Engineer to actively participate in the worldwide development of Alveole’s business by ensuring customer success using Alveole’s platforms. For this position, we are seeking a motivated individual with scientific background, based in Paris. The Field Application Engineer will report to the Sales and Marketing Director.

Key responsibilities:

  • Educate customers on the use of the technology by delivering pre and post-sales applications and technical support in a timely and professional manner
  • Perform hardware and software installations of Primo technology and related microscope parts on customer sites.
  • Deliver remote, Alveole in house and customer on-site demonstrations and training
  • Manage the field maintenance service on customer-site
  • Support worldwide distributors to promote Alveole technology by providing them with technical and scientific support
  • Bring your application expertise for customer qualification calls and customer seminars covering a variety of scientific research areas related to Alveole’s technology
  • Track and report activities within the Customer Relationship Management tool (Sales Force) according to internal procedures
  • Optimize existing application workflows based on users’ feedback
  • Carry out proof-of-concept experiments if required for new client application
  • Collaborate with the R&D team to design new applications and develop new protocols
  • Co-develop sales and marketing materials including application notes and marketing presentations when required
  • Actively participate, as other team members, in international scientific meetings, conferences, and exhibition

Position Requirements:

  • Engineer or PhD in Biology, Biophysics or related field
  • First experience in the life sciences industry
  • Previous field application engineer experience is a plus
  • Proficiency in English
  • International work experience is highly valued
  • Knowledge in cell biology with a practical research experience and standard lab operations
  • Awareness of microscopy techniques
  • Well organized with ability to manage both complex personal tasks and teamwork
  • Willingness to travel (~ (50 %) in Europe and occasionally in international countries
